SHERMAN – A Wisconsin man is seeking damages after a collision in Denton.
David Hulce filed a complaint on Jan. 22 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Mapletree Transportation Inc., Forest River Inc. and Reuben Toney Murr alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 21, 2016, he sustained significant and severe injuries when Murr, who was acting in the course and scope of his employment with defendants Mapletree and Forest River, negligently caused the vehicle he was driving to strike the rear of plaintiff's vehicle. The suit states the collision occurred on Interstate 35 in Denton.
The plaintiff alleges he suffered medical expenses, lost wages and mental anguish as a result of the collision.
The plaintiff holds Mapletree Transportation Inc., Forest River Inc. and Murr responsible because defendant Murr allegedly followed the plaintiff's vehicle too closely, failed to control his speed and failed to keep proper lookout.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, court costs and such other and further relief. He is represented by Spencer P. Browne of Reyes Browne Reilley in Dallas.
