Lab technician seeks $2 million from Tejas Tubular Products after fingers allegedly were crushed

HOUSTON – A lab technician alleges an unsafe work environment caused injuries to his hand.

Belden Mangar filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in the Harris County District Court against Tejas Tubular Products Inc. alleging negligent.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 7, 2017, he was working at defendant's facility when three of his fingers were crushed by cutting pipes. He alleges he sustained serious injuries to his three fingers, which he is not able to straighten.

The plaintiff holds Tejas Tubular Products Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to implement policies and procedures to ensure employees' safety, failed to provide safe equipment and failed to provide adequate training and supervision.

The plaintiff seeks $2 million in actual damages and all other relief, both in law and equity, to which he is justly entitled. He is represented by Thomas N. Thurlow of Thomas N. Thurlow & Associates Inc. in Houston.
