HOUSTON – A Houston man alleges he was injured while working on a roof because his employer failed to maintain a safe workplace.

Oscar Nerio Flores filed a complaint on Jan. 24 in the Harris County District Court against Ruiz Roofing and Construction Limited Liability Co. LLC and Osma Ruiz alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was injured while working for defendant when he fell off of a roof. He alleges he sustained severe and debilitating injuries that resulted in pain, mental anguish, lost wages, disfigurement and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Ruiz Roofing and Construction Limited Liability Co. LLC and Ruiz responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently directed him to work in an environment where there was a known hazardous condition and failed to provide safety equipment.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other general and special relief. He is represented by Kraig L. Rushing and Scott Frase of Bronston Legal PC in Houston.
