HOUSTON – A Harris County truck driver alleges he was injured by pipes at a Houston location.

Romilio Amaya filed a complaint on Feb. 2 in the Harris County District Court against E.L. Farmer & Co. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 2, 2017, he was an invitee at defendant's premises to pick up a load of pipes when defendant's forklift operator negligently loaded the pipes on his trailer and caused them to fall, severely injuring him.

He alleges he suffered personal injuries resulting in medical expenses, loss of earnings, pain and suffering, mental anguish and disfigurement.

The plaintiff holds E.L. Farmer & Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly train and supervise its forklift operator.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Frank W. Robertson and Langdon Smith of Jim S. Adler & Associates in Houston.
