Fraud suit filed against J &Y Holdings, others over lease

HOUSTON – A corporation has filed a suit over the sale of a restaurant business and a rental location.

JJ Seafood and Wings, as assumed name of See Fu Inc., and Ching Fan Wong filed a complaint on Feb. 9 in the Harris County District Court against Jing Yan Han, JJJH Co., J & Y Holdings Inc. and Yousef Shaikh alleging common law fraud, negligent misrepresentation and other counts.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 27, 2017, the plaintiffs purchased a restaurant business in Katy and assumed the lease agreement. The suit states J & Y and the plaintiffs assumed a second amendment to the lease agreement in February 2017.

The plaintiffs holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly intentionally failed to disclose the fact that the property would be purchased via eminent domain by the Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 61 and would be demolished before Dec. 31, 2020.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which they may be entitled. They are represented by Christopher K. Ahn of The Ahn law Firm PLLC in Houston.
