GALVESTON – A Texas resident alleges that a debt collector has harassed him with collection calls.

Jacob Lewis filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Co-Operative Adjustment Bureau alleging that the debt collector violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff co-signed an apartment lease with his father and his father defaulted on the debt. The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages attorney fees, costs and such other just and appropriate relief. He is represented by Marwan R. Daher and Omar T. Sulaiman of Sulaiman Law Group LTD in Lombard, Illinois.
