HOUSTON – A Harris County man is suing over injuries he allegedly sustained during a visit to the Kemah Boardwalk almost two years ago.

In a lawsuit filed against Landry’s, Inc. on Feb. 20 in the Harris County 80th District Court, Michael Charles says the heavy metal arms of the tourist attraction’s railroad crossing came down and struck him on the face and head on Mar. 12, 2016.

Charles was reportedly watching his children board one of the park’s rides at the time of the incident.

Paramedics from the Clear Lake Emergency Medical Corps tended to the plaintiff.

According to the suit, the defendant created an incident report yet refused to provide Charles a copy.

Consequently, he seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Cody Lynn and Blue W. Rannefield of The Potts Law Firm, LLP in Houston are representing the complainant.
