HOUSTON – A Matagorda County couple has filed a lawsuit after the wife injured herself at a Webster hotel, recent Harris County District Court records show.
Marycella and Joseph Miller are suing Tejal & Payal, L.L.C., doing business as Holiday Inn Express & Suites, over Marycella Miller’s slip and fall in a shower on Feb. 22, 2016.
Court papers state that she “fell so violently that she broke the toilet next to the shower,” adding the subject incident left her unable to walk.
The suit asserts Holiday Inn knew of the purportedly dangerous conditions in the bathroom, but failed to eliminate them.
Consequently, the Millers seek unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
