HOUSTON – The father of a man who perished from injuries sustained in an on the job accident in Pearland more than an year ago has pursued legal action, according to recent Harris County District Court records.
In a lawsuit filed on Feb. 27 in the Harris County 189th District Court, Gerbacio Tapia says Jose Tapia Camilo was mortally wounded when the decedent fell to the ground while installing insulation on the roof of a facility located at 3730 S. Main St. on Aug. 4, 2016.
The suit implicates five entities, namely Northwinds Construction, Inc.; M & M Erectors, Inc.; Tenaris Bay City, Inc.; American Commercial Contractors, LLC; and Kingham Dalton Watson, Ltd. in the incident in question.
Court documents assert that the younger Tapia was not properly supervised nor provided horizontal lifelines.
Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages.
