Houston hotel guest alleges malfunctioning gate caused injuries

Medical malpractice 06

HOUSTON – A Matagorda County couple alleges the wife was injured at a Houston hotel by a malfunctioning gate.

Sherrie Jean Bos and Lester Bos filed a complaint on Feb. 27 in the Harris County District Court against MCRT Houston LLP alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 4, 2016, they were at defendant's Interwood Parkway North, Houston hotel and Sherrie Bos was severely injured when the pool gate malfunctioned and violently closed on her ankle.

She alleges she sustained serious injuries resulting in pain and suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement, lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiffs hold MCRT Houston LLP responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to promptly repair the gate and failed to warn them of such danger.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. They are represented by Adam Ramji and Don Thomas II of Ramji Law Group in Houston.
