HOUSTON – A business specializing in educating and mentoring real estate investors alleges that a Travis County man used confidential information to its detriment.

Lifestyles Unlimited Inc. filed a complaint on March 6 in the Harris County District Court against Bruce Petersen alleging breach of noncompetition agreement and breach of nondisclosure agreement.

According to the complaint, the defendant is a former member of the plaintiff's business and signed a noncompete agreement. The suit states the plaintiff terminated the defendant's contract in October 2017 when it discovered he was offering education and/or mentoring services in violation of his noncompete agreement.

The plaintiff holds Petersen responsible because the defendant allegedly breached the agreement by directly competing with it.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other relief to which it is entitled. It is represented by Tim Riley of Riley Law Firm in Houston and Anastassios Triantaphyllis of Triantaphyllis Law Firm in Houston.
