Central Credit Services alleged to have sent letter containing false information

Late 01

SHERMAN – A Denton County consumer alleges that a debt collector letter sent to her contained false information.

Andrica Jones, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint on March 7 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Central Credit Services LLC and John Does 1-25 alleging that they violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 17, 2017, she received an initial contact notice from Central Credit Services regarding an alleged debt owed to First Premier Bank. She alleges the letter "falsely stated that interest and fees would be accruing when they were not."

The plaintiff holds Central Credit Services LLC and John Does 1-25 responsible because the defendants allegedly made a false and misleading representation.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order certifying this action as a class action and appointing plaintiff as class representative and her counsel as class counsel, award for actual and statutory damages, costs and attorneys’ fees and such other just and proper relief. She is represented by Yaakov Saks of RC Law Group PLLC in Hackensack, New Jersey.
