HOUSTON – A Bellaire attorney faces a lawsuit alleging he sexually assaulted a woman late last year, according to recent Harris County District Court records.

In the suit filed on Mar. 7 in the Harris County 157th District Court, the unidentified female claims Jimmy Mark Gilbreth committed the act on Dec. 5, 2017 at a home he reportedly purchased with his wife.

Jane Doe explains Gilbreth invited her to the residence under the guise of showing the property to her before it undergoes renovations. She was looking at the master bedroom when the defendant called her into the master bathroom, the suit says.

Doe further states that Gilbreth closed and locked the door, undressed, and proceeded to attack her, adding she suffered bruising.

The complainant escaped while Gilbreth was distracted.

Court papers say the plaintiff’s identity had been previously disclosed to the respondent.

Consequently, Doe seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by Donald H. Kidd of the law firm Perdue & Kidd in Houston and Steve Shellist of Shellist Peebles McAllister LLP, also in Houston.
