HOUSTON – An alleged 2016 shooting at a downtown Houston nightclub has resulted in a lawsuit, according to recent Harris County District Court records.

Brandon Eaton brought the suit against Engine Room, LLC on Mar. 12, just two years to the day the incident occurred.

Eaton explains the shooting was a result of the establishment’s attempt to remove another patron.

Court papers state an unknown assailant fired at the plaintiff.

Eaton reportedly sustained injuries, faulting Engine Room for failing to expel the supposedly intoxicated clubgoer “in a safe and reasonable manner.”

Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by Jermaine S. Thomas of the law firm Barry Barnes & Associates, PLLC in Houston.
