Woman alleges she was terminated in retaliation by Palletized Trucking

Wrongful term 11

BROWNSVILLE – A Houston multi-service transportation company is alleged to have terminated a former employee in retaliation over her various complaints.

Mirela M. Willhelm filed a complaint on March 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas against Palletized Trucking Inc. alleging that the transportation company violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, was hired by the defendant as a full-time employee in 2006 and was terminated Dec. 12, 2017.

The plaintiff holds Palletized Trucking Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly discriminated against her and terminated her employment in retaliation for raising concerns about accounting irregularities and for her complaints about not being paid overtime.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary of not less than $1 million and such other relief as is just and equitable. She is represented by Keith B. Willhelm in Houston.
