GALVESTON – A Friendswood woman alleges she was injured at a League City grocery store when heavy boxes fell on her.

Mia Olguin filed a complaint on March 12 in the Galveston County District Court against H.E.B. Food Stores Inc., HEB Grocery Co. LP and H.E. Butt Grocery Co. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 10, 2016, she was injured while shopping at defendants' corporate store No. 697 when she was struck by several heavy large boxes that were improperly stored. She alleges she suffered injuries to her head, neck and shoulder.

The plaintiff holds H.E.B. Food Stores Inc., HEB Grocery Co. LP and H.E. Butt Grocery Co. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly store their products and failed to provide notice or warning of any danger.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of no less than $1 million and all other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by John D. Pascoe of John D. Pascoe Attorney at Law PLLC in Webster.
