HOUSTON – A Houston woman alleges she was injured at a pharmacy in the city because of a wet floor.

Maria E. Cardenas filed a complaint on March 13 in the Harris County District Court against Walgreen Co. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 16, 2016, she was seriously injured at defendant's Walgreen store No. 4647 in Houston due to a wet floor. She alleges she suffered pain and suffering, anxiety, mental anguish, medical expenses and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff holds Walgreen Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently allowed a dangerous condition to exist at its premises and failed to warn its customers of the defective condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Cristobal M. Galindo of Cristobal M. Galindo PC in Houston.
