HOUSTON – A Houston hotel and its onsite bar face a lawsuit from a woman who claims she was assaulted at her birthday party on their premises almost two years ago, recent Harris County District Court records show.

Houston resident Leslie M. Rose explains in court documents filed on Mar. 14 that she was celebrating the occasion with friends at The St. Regis Hotel and The Remington Grill on Apr. 9, 2016 when a customer who was supposedly “intoxicated or high on drugs” became belligerent with several female patrons.

According to the original petition, the defendants did not take action despite numerous complaints.

The unidentified male allegedly then hit Rose in the face with a beer bottle. The complainant asserts the attack left her disfigured and traumatized.

Aside from allowing him to remain on their property, the respondents are faulted for continuing to serve him alcohol though he was purportedly intoxicated.

Consequently, Rose seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by Kent W. Johns of the law firm Johns & Johns in Beaumont.
