SHERMAN – A Frisco consumer alleges a home security company has called her at a "harassing frequency" over an alleged debt.
Dawn M. Clark filed a complaint on March 19 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against ADT LLC, doing business as ADT Security Services, alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Texas Debt Collection Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in November 2017, she began receiving calls to her cellular phone from defendant attempting to collect upon an alleged outstanding debt. She alleges she asked the defendant to stop calling her but it continues to do so.
The plaintiff holds ADT LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact her without her consent.
The plaintiff seeks treble damages of at least $500 per phone call, costs and attorney fees and such other just and appropriate relief. She is represented by Nathan C. Volheim and Taxiarchis Hatzidimitriadis of Sulaiman Law Group LTD in Lombard, Illinois.
