Taco Bell customer alleges paint on ramp caused her to fall

Slip01

HOUSTON – A Houston Taco Bell customer alleges paint on ramp caused her to fall.

Earnestine Mayfield filed a complaint on April 2 in the Harris County District Court against Taco Bell of America LLC, Yum! Brands Inc., et al. alleging premises liability and gross negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 12, 2016, she was walking at the parking lot of defendants' establishment when she slipped and fell while going up a ramp. She alleges oil-based paints were used on the ramp, which made the ramp slippery.

The plaintiff holds Taco Bell of America LLC, Yum! Brands Inc., et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate warning that such danger existed.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and such other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Adam Ramji and Don Thomas II of Ramji Law Group in Houston.
