Pleasure Pier visitor slips on vomit after disembarking ride, files lawsuit

Slip02

HOUSTON – A Fort Bend County couple has brought a lawsuit against Landry’s, Inc. after the husband reportedly sustained injuries in a slip and fall last year at its key Galveston attraction, according to recent Harris County District Court records.

Rashid and Farida Rupani, who initiated litigation in the Harris County 157th District Court on Apr. 4, allege that Rashid Rupani slipped on vomit “negligently” left on the platform exit of the “Rock N Roll” ride at the Historic Pleasure Pier on July 14, 2017.

The Rupanis were with their children at the time of the subject incident, the suit says.

Landry’s, along with Pleasure Pier; Fertitta Entertainment, Inc.; and Willie G’s Post Oak, Inc., are accused of failing to eliminate the dangerous condition presented by the discharge.

Consequently, the plaintiffs seek unspecified monetary damages.

They are represented by Adam Ramji and Don Thomas, II of the Ramji Law Group in Houston.
