Law money 01

HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges his former hospital employer owes him unpaid overtime wages.

Iley Desrochers filed a complaint on April 4 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against The Methodist Hospital alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between April 2015 and April 2017, he was employed by the defendant as an integrated systems specialist. He alleges he worked more than 40 hours per workweek with defendant but did not receive the rate of time-and-one-half of his regular rate of pay for overtime work.

The plaintiff holds The Methodist Hospital responsible because the defendant allegedly only compensated him at his regular rate for his overtime work.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid wages, prejudgment interest, liquidated damages, attorneys' fee, costs and such other lawful and equitable relief. He is represented by Charles L. Scalise and Daniel B. Ross of Ross Law Group in Austin.
