HOUSTON – A plasterboard installer alleges he was paid straight time for overtime work by a Houston company.
Luis Miguel Roman, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint on April 4 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against HTX Group LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that during his employment with defendant at its Houston location, he regularly worked more than 40 hours per week without receiving the overtime premium for all hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order allowing this action to proceed as a collective action, award for all unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, interest, attorneys’ fees and costs and such other and further relief.
