Galleria garage invitee alleges deteriorated concrete caused fall

Medical malpractice 09

HOUSTON – A woman alleges she was injured at the Galleria garage on Westheimer Road in Houston because of the condition of the ground.

Charlene Adams filed a complaint on April 18 in the Harris County District Court against HG Galleria I, II, III, GP LP; Simon Property Group Texas LP; et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 28, 2016, she was injured when she fell at defendants' parking garage due to the damaged, uneven and deteriorated concrete ground and an exposed steel rod.

The plaintiff holds HG Galleria I, II, III, GP LP; Simon Property Group Texas LP; et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to inspect and/or repair the dangerous condition and failed to provide adequate warning of such danger.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of less than $75,000, plus interest, costs of court and all other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Jack Todd Ivey and Jacob D. Barber of Ivey Law Firm PC in Houston.
