HOUSTON – Three La Porte residents allege a global workforce solutions company failed to pay them the correct rate for their overtime work.
Roy Koonce, Jeffrey Coughlin and Chad French filed a complaint on April 20 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Swift Technical Services LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that during their employment with defendant as safety representatives, they worked numerous overtime hours without receiving appropriate overtime wages. They allege that instead, they were paid the same hourly rate for all overtime hours they worked.
The plaintiffs holds Swift Technical Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and/or refused to pay proper overtime compensation at a rate of no less than one-and-one-half of their regular rates of pay.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, attorney’s fees, costs, litigation expenses and all other and further relief as may be permitted by law. They are represented by Mark J. Oberti and Edwin Sullivan of Oberti Sullivan LLP in Houston.
