HOUSTON – A Harris County man claims he injured his hand while working with a machine and has filed a lawsuit against his employer.

Moises Moran sued Flowers Baking Co. of Houston, LLC on Apr. 26 in the Harris County 125th District Court, alleging his left hand got caught in a sheeter machine.

According to the lawsuit, Moran attempted to retrieve a piece of dough that became stuck in the machine’s spinning rollers when the incident in question occurred.

Court papers assert the business failed to provide proper and safe instructions, as well as left the machine without a protective cover.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by Richard G. Paxton of the Paxton Law Firm in Houston.
