2:18-cv-00162-JRG AM RESEARCH GROUP, LLC V. MATRIX COMPOSITES & ENGINEERING (US), INC.

AMRG has pursued legal action in response to alleged infringement of U.S. Patent No. 6,435,775.

The plaintiff claims the act is in progress and fears it will continue if nothing is done by Marshall federal court.

It seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

The plaintiff CXT is based in Marshall.

It claims ownership of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,412,012; 6,493,703; 6,571,234; 7,016,875; 7,257,581; 8,260,806; and RE45,661.

Court documents explain that the ‘012 patent generally cover systems and methods for providing a compatibility-aware recommendation output using user preference data and item compatibility rules while the ‘703, ‘234, and ‘661 patents generally relate to systems and methods relating to optimizing the usability of online message boards such as those found at ecommerce websites.

The ‘875, ‘581, and ‘806 patents purportedly cover systems and methods relating to optimizing online shopping experience.

CXT alleges the seven patents were infringed and seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
