HOUSTON – A Harris County woman claims she suffered a head injury last year while visiting a local community health center.

Janice Warren sued Busy Bee Wellness Center in the Harris County 61st District Court on Apr. 27, blaming the injury on an uninsulated metal pipe that was protruding from one of the walls at the defendant’s facility.

The plaintiff was accompanied by her daughter at the time of the incident at issue.

According to the suit, the pipe was exposed due to construction “and was the same color as the wall.”

“There were no admonishments to warn the plaintiff of the potential hazard,” court documents assert.

Warren reportedly suffered additional injuries to her neck, back, and general body.

Consequently, she seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Kenneth R. Baird of The Baird Law Firm in Houston is representing the complainant.
