Slip01

HOUSTON – A shopper at a Harris County mall alleges a wet floor caused her to fall.

Maria Aguirre filed a complaint on May 2 in the Harris County District Court against PlazAmericas Mall Texas LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 25, 2016, she was walking at defendant's PlazAmericas Mall when she slipped and fell on a wet floor. She alleges she sustained injuries that resulted in pain and suffering, loss earnings, mental anguish and necessary medical expenses as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds PlazAmericas Mall Texas LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly inspect the premises to discover the dangerous condition, failed to correct it and failed to warn invitees of the existence of such a danger.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and all other relief that is legal and equitable. She is represented by Wade D. Moriarty of The Crim Law Firm P.C. in Houston.
