HOUSTON – A League City woman alleges she was "forced" to resign her position with a state agency because of a hostile work environment.

Angela Jarvis filed a complaint on May 8 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against General Land Office of the State of Texas and Texas General Land Office Oil Spill Prevention over alleged violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant as an administrative assistant. She alleges she was "forced" to resign from the position in March 2016 because of retaliation and a hostile work environment that developed after she reported sexual harassment of a co-worker.

She alleges she reported incidents of hostile behavior toward her from an employee and nothing was done.

The plaintiff seeks that the court grant relief, damages and court costs. She is representing herself.
