HOUSTON – Claiming he suffered an infection two years ago following a dental procedure local resident Wilbourn Baker McAdams has pursued legal action.

McAdams faults Dr. Susan Ellison; Susan Ellison, D.D.S., P.C.; and Susan Ellison and Associates, P.C. in a lawsuit filed on May 9 in the Harris County 129th District Court.

The plaintiff visited the defendants on Feb. 24, 2016 for a crown replacement only to undergo a tooth extraction without being prescribed pain medication or antibiotics after the appointment, court documents say.

McAdams developed the subject infection, of which the suit asserts was a result of Ellison perforating his sinus cavity and failing to complete the extraction for one of the roots that was still present.

He adds the infection was lengthy to the point it caused him to undergo surgery and miss an Alaskan cruise planned for that June.

Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Ronald K. Lovett of the Lovett Law Firm in Katy is representing McAdams.
