R & M Service Co. painter alleges fall caused by company's failure to provide proper equipment

Medical malpractice 02

HOUSTON – A commercial painter alleges he was caused to fall while working because his employer failed to provide proper equipment.

Jorge Salinas filed a complaint on May 7 in the Harris County District Court against R & M Service Co. Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 1, 2017, he was working in the course and scope of his employment with the defendant and was injured when he fell while descending a ladder. He alleges the ladder he needed for the job wasn't provided to him and instead he had to use a ladder that was too tall for him to properly position himself.

He alleges he suffered serious bodily injuries to his right wrist, right shoulder and other parts of his body as a result of the fall, which resulted in pain and suffering, mental anguish, lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds R & M Service Co. Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide proper equipment and necessary assistance to perform his work safely.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but no more than $1 million and all other relief that is lawful and equitable. He is represented by Scott P. Armstrong and Megan C. Savage of Armstrong Lee Savage LLP in Houston.
