HOUSTON – Several health care facilities allege a Houston attorney failed to compensate them for treatment provided to his personal injury clients.

East Side Surgery Center Inc., et al. filed a complaint on May 14 in the Harris County District Court against Eric Lamont Rhodes alleging breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and fraud.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that at the request of defendant, the plaintiffs rendered services to his personal injury clients with his promise that the health care bills would be paid upon settlement of the claims.

The plaintiff holds Rhodes responsible because despite his resolve of many of the personal injury claims, the defendant allegedly failed to make payments for the medical bills incurred.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for all damages, with interest, attorney fees, costs and all other equitable relief. They are represented by Phillip Brantley of Phillip Brantley and Associates PC in Houston.
