HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges negligent care and treatment at a Tomball hospital caused him to develop a pressure ulcer.

John Sutton Jr. filed a complaint on May 23 in the Harris County District Court against Tomball Texas Hospital Co. LLC, formerly doing business as Tomball Regional Medical Center, alleging medical negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 21, 2016, he was admitted at defendant's hospital for reversal of a colostomy. He alleges that while there, he developed a pressure ulcer that did not fully heal until February 2017.

The plaintiff holds Tomball Texas Hospital Co. LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to prevent the development of avoidable pressure ulcer and failed to implement and promote wound healing and prevent infection.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and all other and further relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Mary E. Green of Brown & Brothers in Houston.
