HOUSTON – Harris County resident Gabriel T. Forrest is suing his dentist after certain procedures more than a year ago ultimately caused him to suffer an infection.

In court documents filed on June 7 in the Harris County 190th District Court, Forrest explains he sought services from Dr. Bimal Mehta in late 2016.

Mehta supposedly promised the plaintiff that his crowns were made of zirconium and were sturdy, to which the lawsuit says was a form of misrepresentation.

Per Forrest, the dentist also lied about the material and quality of the bridges installed in his mouth. The bridges did not last a day following installation, the original petition says.

Forrest says Mehta blamed him for the bridges failing, adding newly required work “significantly” increased his dental bill.

The infection then befell the complainant, the suit says.

Consequently, Forrest seeks unspecified monetary damages.

He is represented by Alan Kolodny of the Kolodny Law Firm, PLLC in Houston.
