GALVESTON — A landlord is suing Domino Sand Services, alleging breach of lease agreement for unpaid rent and property damage.

Blimp Base Interests Inc. filed a complaint on Oct. 3, in the Galveston County District Court, against Domino Sand Services, alleging that the tenant was in default in payment since June.

The plaintiff alleges that on April 2, 2017, the defendant exercised its right as tenant to extend the term of lease at 101 Industrial Park Road in Hitchcock for another two years.

To date, defendant has an unpaid rent of $46,750 and the tenant allegedly caused substantial damage to the building, costing $75,000.

Plaintiff has filed and recorded its landlord’s lien affidavit for unpaid rent in the Galveston County Real Property Records.

The plaintiff holds Domino Sand Services responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make monthly rental payments and failed to cover the damages to the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of $100,000 or less such other and further relief to which it may show itself justly entitled.

It is represented by Christopher L. Johnson, Justin M. Kornegay and Morgan A. Jenkins of Johnson & Associates Attorneys at Law, PLLC in League City.
