LITTLER MENDELSON P.C: Littler's Syeeda Amin Recognized Among Top 50 Women Lawyers By Texas Diversity Council

Littler Mendelson P.C issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.

Syeeda Amin, special counsel in the Dallas office of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has been recognized among the Top 50 Women Lawyers by the Texas Diversity Council. This award honors female attorneys who have made a difference through their achievements and excel in the legal arena.

“Syeeda is an excellent example of the caliber of our attorneys who are committed to advancing diversity and inclusion at Littler and the legal industry,” said Earl “Chip” Jones, Dallas office managing shareholder. “On behalf of the firm, we congratulate Syeeda on this well-deserved recognition.”

As a member of Littler's Data Analytics Group, Amin oversees a team of attorneys and statistical analysts to conduct damage calculations for nationwide class actions, with special emphasis on wage and hour class actions. She also coordinates statistical analyses in Littler’s Pay Equity Assessment™ Tool, a proprietary technology which allows clients to evaluate pay equity risks in real-time. In addition, Amin assists clients in conducting data-based analyses to assess their hiring, promotion and termination practices. Her scope of knowledge also includes the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act.

Amin is also a member of the firm's Business Restructuring Practice Group, counseling clients undergoing reductions-in-force and serves as member of the Diversity & Inclusion Council. She earned her J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, magna cum laude, and her B.S. from Yale University, cum laude.
