Clark Hill PLC issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.
Elizabeth Griffin, Clark Hill Strasburger, has been elected as the 2019 Chair of the Dallas Bar Association’s Franchise and Distribution Law Section. Elizabeth is a member of the firm’s Franchise & Licensing team. She is also a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Unit. Her franchise practice focuses on registration and disclosure counseling, state enforcement actions and franchise litigation.
Prior to being elected as Chair, Elizabeth served as the 2018 Vice Chair of the DBA Franchise and Distribution Law Section. She has also contributed to franchise law publications and is an active member of the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising.
In her role as Chair, Elizabeth will follow in the shoes of many great franchise practitioners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area who have served on the board, including the firm’s own Tate Hemingson and Earsa Jackson.
“Liz has become a vital part of our franchise team and is a natural leader. She has developed skills to handle franchise registration and disclosure work while also being fearless in the courtroom,” says firm member Earsa Jackson, Chair of the firm’s Franchise & Licensing team.
The firm’s Franchise and Licensing team serves franchise systems nationwide and has seen a growth in new franchise systems in recent years. Franchise growth is expected to continue in 2019.
