McGinnis Lochridge issued the following announcement on Jan. 14.
McGinnis Lochridge is pleased to welcome Daniel Atkinson, who joins the firm’s Employment, Labor and Employee Benefits Practice Group as an associate in Dallas. He will work closely with Partner Felicity A. Fowler, who leads the Employment, Labor & Employee Benefits Practice Group and serves as the Dallas Office Partner in Charge, in addition to Dallas Labor & Employment Partner Alex Stevens.
Daniel is the fifth attorney to join the group in the past six months following Fowler, Stevens, Special Counsel Ashton G. Cumberbatch, Jr. in Austin, and Associate Veronica Cruz in Houston.
“Daniels’ experience in legal research, writing and discovery brings an added perspective that will be of value to our clients,” said Fowler.
Following graduation from SMU Dedman School of Law, Daniel served in the Office of the City Attorney of Grand Prairie, TX. While pursuing his law degree, Daniel gained valuable experience through several internships in corporate, judicial and government agencies, including the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, Family Violence Division, the Federal Trade Commission, Southwest Region, and the U.S. Trustee Program within the Department of Justice.
Daniel received his J.D., cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he served as Article Editor for the SMU International Law Review. He earned his B.A. in History from Texas Tech University.
