Tires

HOUSTON – A north Houston collision shop and its proprietor have been sued by an employee who claims that he was injured by an exploding tire last year.

Harris County District Court records show that Rosalio Camarena filed a lawsuit against Collision Professionals of Texas, L.L.C. and Demetrio Aguillon on Feb. 4 in the 334th District Court.

In the complaint, Camarena recalls the July 23, 2018 incident occurring when the defendants instructed him to remove some floor mats from the bed of a three-quarter ton truck.

The plaintiff faults his employers for not implementing common safety guidelines at the business located at 7313 N. Shepherd Dr. According to the suit, the respondents do not require the workers to use common safety equipment.

Consequently, Camarena seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Gilberto J. Flores of Dayton is representing the complainant.
