HOUSTON — A Houston bath manufacturing company is suing a former employee, alleging he breached their no-compete agreement.

Royal Baths Manufacturing Company Ltd. filed a complaint Feb. 25 in the Harris County District Court against Bryce C. Boyd, alleging breach of contract and violating the Texas Uniform Trade Secret Act.

According to the complaint, between September 2003 and October 2018 Boyd worked for the plaintiff as vice president of sales. The suit says Boyd agreed to a non-compete waiver for a period of one year if he were to leave Royal Baths.

The defendant, however, allegedly began to act against his agreement with the company, asking for special treatment from clients and even requesting services via email.

Royal Baths Manufacturing seeks damages, attorney fees, court costs and all just relief. It is represented by attorneys Steven V. Walkowiak, Sarah-Michelle Stearns and Aimee Housinger of Greenberg Traurig LLP in Dallas and Houston.
