BRADLEY ARANT BOULT CUMMINGS: Cristopher Farrar Joins Houston Office as Construction Partner

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings issued the following announcement on April 22.

Bradley is pleased to announce that Cristopher Farrar has joined the firm’s Houston office as a partner in the Construction Practice Group.

“We are thrilled to have Cristopher as a member of Bradley’s Houston office and construction team,” said Bradley Houston Office Managing Partner Ian P. Faria, who also is a member of the Construction Practice Group. “Cristopher brings two decades of experience and keen insights on diverse projects, contracts, and other transactional matters that will further enhance our firm’s already stellar reputation in the construction industry.”

Mr. Farrar focuses his practice on drafting construction, engineering and architectural agreements, as well as service and operation-related contracts and oilfield transactions. He represents clients in a wide range of sophisticated and complex project development matters related to commercial, energy, oil and gas, power, renewable, manufacturing, chemical, pipeline, offshore, and infrastructure. He has extensive experience managing major matters involving capital improvements and large asset-based transactions ranging from $25 million to more than $8 billion. Mr. Farrar also frequently presents at conferences and seminars on topics related to risk allocation in construction contracts.

Prior to joining Bradley, Mr. Farrar was a principal at Cokinos Young. He also has served as in-house counsel for international engineering and construction companies.

Mr. Farrar received his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University.

Mr. Farrar joins Bradley’s renowned construction practice that includes seven attorneys who are Fellows of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA), whose current president is Bradley partner E. Mabry Rogers. Last year, Bradley received the CLSA’s Law Firm Award for “high acumen and ability in construction law, construction arbitration, surety and/or other construction-related fields.” Also last year, Bradley was named the nation’s “Law Firm of the Year” for Construction Law in the “Best Law Firms” industry guide published by Best Lawyers and U.S. News & World Report.
