Rider alleges go-cart racing company's negligence led her hair being ripped from her head

HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a go-cart racing company, alleging her hair was ripped from her head after being wrapped around the wheel of a cart.

Dorrette Dorceus filed a complaint May 13 in Harris County District Court against Skyward Amusements LLC doing business as Houston Grand Prix, alleging gross negligence, 

According to the complaint, Dorceus was go-cart racing Oct. 19, 2018, at 13901 Eastex Freeway, Houston. The suit says the plaintiff's hair became caught by one of the wheels of the cart and was ripped from her scalp, causing pain and injury, as well as medical expenses.

Dorceus seeks trial by jury, between $200,000 and $1 million, interest, exemplary damages and all other equitable relief. She is represented by attorneys Anthony Atkins Pusch and Chi-Hung David Hguyen of Pusch & Nguyen Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
