Houston magic emporium alleges design company breached contract

HOUSTON — A Houston magic emporium is suing a design company, alleging fraud and breach of contract.

Magic Island filed a complaint June 4 in Harris County District Court against Reginald Tolbert, individually and doing business as Real Designs, alleging breach of contract, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of good faith.

According to the complaint, Magic Island was solicited and induced by Real Designs on Sept. 25, 2018, to provide and perform professional design, engineering and consulting services for interior renovation at 2215 Southwest Freeway, Houston. The plaintiff said it has paid the defendant for the agreement but Real Designs did not perform the duties that it was supposed to, thus constituting breach of contract.

Magic Island seeks attorney fees, court costs, interest and all other just relief. It is represented by attorney Gregg Dasher of Dasher Law Offices in Houston.
