Masonry supply company alleges client owes more than $13,000

GALVESTON — A masonry supply company is suing a League City client, alleging they never paid more than $13,000 for the supplies the plaintiff provided.

Morrell Masonry Supply Inc. filed a complaint June 17 in Galveston County District Court against Faisal Syed and Mihsa Syed, alleging misapplication of construction trust funds.

According to the complaint, Morrell Masonry was contracted to supply material for work the Syeds wanted completed at 599 Constellation Blvd., League City. The suit states the plaintiff did what it expected to and sent invoices and notices to the defendants in order to receive payment for the work completed.

The suit states, however, the Syeds have failed to pay the plaintiff $13,674.56 for the supplies delivered.

Morrell Masonry seeks attorney fees, court costs, actual damages of $13,674.56, interest and other just relief. It is represented by attorneys Karalynn C. Cromeens and Joseph E. Munoz of The Cromeens Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
