“I am extremely honored to be recognized by Constellation Research and mentioned alongside such an impressive group of international tech executives,” said Holman. “At Clark Hill, leveraging technology to enhance the client experience, create greater efficiencies for our team, and transform culture is essential to our long-term success. In addition, more and more law firms are helping clients in healthcare, tech, finance, and other industries navigate through the complexity and importance of cybersecurity as data breaches have increased in the past several years, leaving businesses more susceptible to legal issues. As CIO, Holman is responsible for strategic and operational aspects of information technology including cybersecurity and compliance aspects of Clark Hill. Holman was instrumental in the combination of Clark Hill and Strasburger & Price in 2018, where she was responsible for technology alignment and consolidation in addition to assisting with overall project management. She has more than 20 years of experience in leading information technology, strategy, development and operations efforts for several public and private companies within the legal, environmental, telecommunications, and financial services industries. In both 2017 and 2019, Holman was recognized as a finalist for Dallas CIO of the Year by the ORBIE Awards. In 2016, Joan was recognized by the Dallas Business Journal as a Women in Technology Additionally, she was honored by Girlstart as part of the Gamechanger Women in STEM for 2017. Prior to Clark Hill, Joan served as the Senior Director of Portfolio Management, Customer Service and eBusiness for a leading global life sciences company.

The 2020 Business Transformation 150 identifies the world’s most influential executives across a variety of industries, including information technology, energy, healthcare, education, finance, law and more. Nominations from peers, industry influencers, technology vendors and analysts powered the six-month selection process. Each executive on the list demonstrates an understanding of how the business environment is transforming in response to digital and exponential technologies, and these leaders are actively preparing their companies to excel during and after the transformation.

"BT150 winners exemplify positive change agents who see the world with a beginner’s mindset, lead by example, share and mentor the next generation, craft new business models, and judiciously apply exponential technologies to improve outcomes,” said R “Ray” Wang, founder and CEO at Constellation Research. “This year’s winners understand that we have shifted from a post-digital world to a winner takes all world and that exponential business models will distinguish the winners.”
