Motorist, passenger allege trucking company driver caused crash

HOUSTON — A motorist and passenger are suing a trucking company and its driver, alleging the defendants' negligence caused a crash.

Jesus De La Rosa and Alejandro De La Rosa filed a complaint Aug. 14 in Harris County District Court against Trout Trucking Company Inc., and Roberto Marroquin, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on June 10, Marroquin, driving for Trout Trucking, struck the De La Rosas' vehicle on Interstate Highway 610, causing the plaintiffs to suffer injuries, which led to pain, suffering and mental anguish. 

The suit alleges Marroquin was cited for failing to control his speed.

The De La Rosas seek more than $1 million in damages, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by attorneys Jason A. Itkin, Cory D. Itkin, Ryan S. MacLeod and Jacob M. Karam of Arnold & Itkin LLP in Houston.
