HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston grocery store, alleging a dangerous condition resulted in her suffering injuries.

Adriana Gomez filed a complaint Aug. 20 in Harris County District Court against Fiesta Mart LLC and 2ML Real Estate Interests Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Gomez was a guest of Fiesta Mart on Oct. 8, 2018, 14315 Bellaire Blvd., Houston. The suit alleges Gomez slipped and fell on water and a piece of fruit that had been allowed to fall to the ground.

The plaintiff says she sustained injuries, pain and suffering and medical expenses due to Fiesta Mart's failure to warn of a dangerous condition on the floor.

Gomez seeks monetary relief between $100,000 and $150,000, interest, court costs and all just relief. She is represented by attorneys David K. Mestemaker, Norman Straud and Jonathan B. Zumwalt of Mestemaker, Straub & Zumwalt in Houston.
