HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston apartment complex, alleging she was injured on a poorly maintained sidewalk.

Wendy R. Dosewell filed a complaint Aug. 23 in Harris County District Court against Smoketree Apartments of Texas LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Doswell was at her mother's apartment at 5110 Azalea Trace Drive, No. 256, Houston on May 4. The suit says when Doswell was walking on the sidewalk between buildings 11 and 12, she tripped and fell on a poorly repaired portion of the sidewalk. The plaintiff says she sustained serious injuries, medical expenses, physical impairment and disfigurement and future loss of earning capacity.

Doswell seeks between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all just relief. She is represented by attorney Matthew Menter of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
