Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli congratulates Shareholders Corey Casey and Rebecca Frigy Romine for their selection to the 2019 Missouri Lawyers Weekly Up & Coming Awards, which recognizes early-career lawyers who demonstrate professional excellence while making a positive impact on their profession and communities.
This year’s Up & Coming Awards celebrate 50 outstanding legal professionals in Missouri who are 40 years old or younger, or are within their first 10 years of practice. Honorees have demonstrated professional accomplishment, skill and leadership beyond their years, as well as extraordinary commitment to their communities through volunteer service and leadership.

Casey and Romine, along with their fellow 2019 honorees, were recognized at an awards luncheon on Oct. 11 at the Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in St. Charles, Mo.
A member of Polsinelli’s national Hatch-Waxman Litigation Practice, Casey brings a unique skill set and in-depth industry knowledge, particularly in the areas of patent litigation and opinions, patent preparation and prosecution and intellectual property licensing and acquisition. His areas of technical experience include pharmaceutical, biotechnology and chemical technologies. Casey is located in the firm’s Kansas City, Mo. office.
Prior to earning a J.D., Casey obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy and is a Registered Pharmacist.
As part of the firm’s national Health Care Operations Practice, Romine’s practice focuses on data privacy and security compliance, breach incident response, federal and state government investigations and audits related to the privacy and security of health information. Romine also strives at tackling operational issues that providers face in the field of electronic health information and has considerable experience addressing health information exchange operations.
Her experience is deep across the health care sector and ranges from traditional health care provides, like hospitals, to technology vendors. Romine also serves as the firm’s Privacy Officer.
Romine is located in Polsinelli’s St. Louis, Mo. office. She earned her J.D., as well as a M.P.H. degree in health policy from Saint Louis University.
